Former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards was married a few Fridays ago in New Orleans to Trina Grimes Scott, and the wedding was a perfect low-key New Orleans affair. I love that they did this on a Friday morning, a small intimate family gathering at the courthouse, followed by a morning stroll through the French Quarter, and lunch at the infamous Galatoire's in New Orleans. I couldn't think of anything more perfect for a New Orleans elopement. No big deal, just family, friends, a tasteful knee-legnth dress and white bouquet, a great setting and wonderful food.
